Exactly one year ago I first came across an article on SBF and his apparent meteoric rise to the top. I remember that article came accompanied with a picture of SBF beside his workstation setup in a Hong Kong office.
Today it's quite easy to see the truth, but a French thinker from a hundred years ago already saw through the lies.

Update
I was very surprised to hear the name Balzac again in the context of a Chinese movie. It seems like this French thinker was the inspiration behind the Chinese novel and movie Balzac and the Little Seamstress. Set in the context of the cultural revolution, Balzac and western writing carried "dangerous" foreign thoughts and were hidden and coveted amongst the Chinese "intellectual" class like forbidden treasure. In the novel, Balzac's writings inspired a little seamstress to take up her dreams and explore the world. Truly amazing- how ideas can carry across time and space and inspire new generations.
